The exotic and modern texture of stingray skin or shagreen has been a favorite of designers since the 1930's.  Shagreen is traditionally made from the richly textured skin of sharks. It was popularized in Japan where it was used to wrap the handles of samurai swords, and in the centuries since it has adorned only the most luxurious home accents. Our cruelty free version of this material elevates the clean lines of this simple side or accent table.  The top and shelf have been upholstered in our ivory faux shagreen and set in a antique brass finish base.  Available in two luxurious colors.
